Pan Together

Pan Together is the member-led, community charity that runs the volunteer-based Downside Community Centre and Isobel Community Cafe. Pan Together was setup to further or benefit the residents of East Newport, Isle of Wight, by associating together with the said residents and the local authority, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents.

Town Council community Centre

Ventnor Town Council

has a track record of supporting and developing projects that address deprivation in the Town including a weekly Job Club. In addition, the Town Council community centre is a hub for advice agencies and support groups, including the Alzheimer Café, Citizens Advice, NHS – Smoke Stop and Nutrition Advice, RCS Employability and Mountbatten Hospice Volunteers. The Town Council led a local volunteer hub during the Covid pandemic working with 60 volunteers delivering prescriptions, shopping, and providing regular check-in phone calls. Additionally, the Town Council manages and supports an Anxiety Café which has its own allotment and provides advice and support for a number of local community groups and runs a Youth Club. Additional achievements include supporting and providing premises for Ventnor Community Shed and for Baby Box Isle of Wight and setting up Ventnor Community Foodbank.

West Wight Sports & Community Centre

The West Wight Sports and Community Centre Trust is a registered charity providing activities which support our community’s physical and mental health and well-being. Based in Moa place, Freshwater, on the Isle of Wight, the sports and community centre has swimming pools, sports hall, gym, cafe, meeting rooms, community centre, exercise classes, community kitchen, hair salon, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, chiropractic clinic and lots more.
